A Little Bit About Me
I am an English revert and took my shahadah in March 2001, although I was a “closet Muslim” for
around 10 years prior to that. I was lucky enough by the Grace of Allah SWA to perform Hajj in 2007.

Being English, my heritage and culture are all an important part of who I am.

I have single since 2008 and feel that I am ready to commit to a new relationship, however no co wife situations, “toyboys” or passport seekers please- I am not intending to offend by this comment but I am serious about wanting a long term relationship and none of these would provide me with that.

I am hardworking and independent. I enjoy my career and I am involved in a number of committees
for business and charity.

I am sincere, honest and trustworthy and these are essential values to me. I have a good sense of
humour and I am a loyal friend.

My children are all grown and have their own lives and I have five young grandchildren. I love
spending family times with them all.

I enjoy meeting intelligent people and engaging in new avenues of learning, I think it is important to
keep learning and keep the brain active.

I wear my Hijab with pride and I make sure that whilst I where English clothes I am dress modestly &
within the bounds of Islam.

My family and my career are in Peterborough so relocation would be limited to a reasonable daily
commuting distance.

What I Am Looking For
I am looking for a long term partnership with someone who would be my friend, soul mate and
husband. Someone who is in a similar situation with regards to children, i.e. they are grown up and
have their own lives. I am not prepared to be a "step mum" and raise children. But I am happy to
integrate and be a part of his family.

I want someone of my own age group and who is preferable of UK birth and ancestry as I feel that
sharing a common background makes things easier.

I want someone who shares my values, beliefs and who is comfortable with my heritage and culture,
someone with whom I can share common interests and who is comfortable around my family.

It’s important for him to have his own life and interests and his own means of support, for whilst I
am happy to contribute to the home etc I am not going to support someone else. Again sorry if this
sounds harsh but it’s best to be honest and open.

In a nutshell I want someone to share my autumn years with, in a meaningful and caring relationship
that enriches us both and enables us both to grow as people
